  2. Hi😊 So I learnt to sew at high school in the 1980s. I so admired my one teacher. She always wore perfectly fitting garments. When younger my shape fitted the patterns but pregnancy, food, hormonal body changes have caused lots of fitting woes. So….with kids now grown and enlisting what little patience I have 😂I am going to watch your videos etc from scratch. My aim is to make garments that fit better and better over time. I went to work recently wearing an almost finished pair of cullotes. This way I got a feel for how tight I preferred my elasticated waist etc. Still work in progress as they’re still a tad wide hip wise. Next time I’ll make a toile. Thank you Evelyn for popping up on my screen and to all the other sewers. 6:13

  3. I got really annoyed at how you talk about mistakes. Mistakes exist, call them that. Mistakes are normal. Don’t go into awkward talk about it’s not really mistakes every five minutes, normalise them.

People do make mistakes, a lot, especially when they are new to something. It isn’t bad, it isn’t critical, it’s often fixable, if not, preventable. Don’t be afraid to say “mistake”, please, mistakes exist and they aren’t bad
