  1. I was devastated by their closing. It’s extremely hard to find animal print, especially cat, fabric anywhere. And I don’t want any with lots of chemicals added to them making them unsafe.

  2. Joann’s managed themselves into the ground. As a lot of other commenters said, they didn’t listen to the avid sewist who wants quality fabrics and good selections. They brought in too much home decor stuff and discounted themselves out of business. Maybe they thought sewing wasn’t a big enough market. They could have made a profit if they targeted us sewists who are willing to pay a bit more for garment or home decor fabric that we will have for years or something we’ll give as a gift. It is so darn annoying that I have to order a 7″ zipper online!!! I make garments, draperies and bedding. Online purchases have been hit or miss. Mood fabrics is fabulous. It is definitely a bucket list NYC destination for sewists. 4 large floors crammed with the most beautiful fabric.

  3. I’m an advocate in india and an embroidery Artist from last 24 years…. I’m doing my business in whole india….now I’m searching business partner in abroad like USA Canada UK kuwait Dubai etc…………

  4. I made a quilt one time that started with Pack number one and went through package number 12 are they still available?

  5. I never liked Joanne’s, they never had anything I was interested in and their prices were higher than most other places. I can’t wear polyester or fleece. I don’t do quilting. I just wanted to try to sew some decent clothes in natural fabrics. Now I’m trying to take up sewing again and I can’t find any stores. I tried Michael’s which was stuffed with artificial flowers, baskets, Christmas lights, etc. An employee told me fabrics were in the back. when I got there I asked another employee and she had no idea where they were. It turns out they were on the other side of the display wall she was working on. I went down that aisle, which was approximately 15’ long; there were fabrics on both sides and that was it. nothing else in the whole fairly large store. One place I want to mention is.Hart’s fabrics in Santa Cruz CA. I used to shop there in person; it’s small and it ain’t cheap, but it is very good quality. They also have the kind of online display every store should have, showing the fabric with a ruler and draped over a mannequin.
